CD15 - Anima15 - Results

Without further ado, the winning track with 107 points is ‘The Ground Walks With Time In A Box’ by Modest Mouse, as chosen by *ahem* me. Second with 82 points was ‘The Love Cats’ by The Cure, as chosen by Franck, and then we have a tie for the bronze medal with 77 points each, ‘Techno Fan’ by The Wombats, as chosen by Bob and ‘Monkey Gone To Heaven’ by The Pixies, as chosen by Kate.

 

Champions of guessing who put on what were: Neil and Bob with 5 guesses each. Of those who chose to guess at who put on what, Rob and Sam were the worst, totally failing to identify anyone other than themselves. The extent of Rob’s and Sam’s failure is only highlighted by the presence of a track which had Pete Quinn’s name written all over it – it could only have been more obviously Pete’s track if it had been called ‘Pete Quinn’s Track’ by ‘The Band Chosen By Pete Quinn’. Indeed Pete Quinn was the most picked out person, being identified only 7 times!! We had several people evading detection completely this time, those being: Pete H, Sam, me, Bob, Rob, Neil, Howard and Pete K.

 

Franck’s ‘The Love Cats’ made it onto most people’s scoresheets – well 14/17 anyway. The tracks making onto the fewest number of scoresheets being ‘Marvin Gaye’ and ‘You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth’ which brings us nicely on to the wooden spoon.

 

Well, Pete H had a good run at it by dipping into the pool of music that is down with the kids of today, Jasper failed to appreciate the sense of ‘meh’ most people feel about Meat Loaf, and the level to which people found the opening dialogue irritating, and so ‘You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth’ scored only 9 points. Jasper remains convinced that this a personal thing, but I will point out that only 3 people thought it was his track, and I do the utmost to guard the identity of all contributors at all times.
